Sarah Palin is being positioned by the Republican party as the second coming of Ronald Reagan. Parallels include:

1. confident, on-message, humor-filled delivery
2. appeal across a wide political spectrum
3. evoke Normal Rockwell images of bygone days “small town values”
4. call spouse cutsie names (Mommy, First Dude)
5. Blame government, congress, and the media for all problems
6. concentrate on small issues such as welfare queens and earmarks to distract from larger issues- expect that there will be some earmark queen and king scandal soon with members of Congress
7. formerly in show business (beauty queen and sportscaster)
8. Teflon- no matter how many lies and mistatements she makes, will not be held accountable
9 image of frontier or backwoods rugged individualism (western movies, Alaska)
10. really good hair

To paraphrase the Who, we wont be fooled again- really?
