As a Southern Cal native, I have seen the offshore drilling rigs ebb and flow with the political parties in power. Needless to say, they have increased in number here with the present administration. We have all seen the damage that can be done by these behemoths. It's time for a Windfall Profits Tax, with the funds going into R&D into alternative fuel sources/vehicles. It's time for us to speak out and force our leaders to act on our behalf. Great post, Catherine, and thanks for giving our voices a place to be heard!
