As someone raised to not regard feminism or women’s issues or any such categories I have been heavily engaged in the current political movements. I can say that Hillary Clinton makes a far better potential “new-FDR” that has been willing, in fact, to drop the shallow feminist ideas and represent the ENTIRETY of the lower 80% income bracket of the population. Huffington did say it correctly, that Hillary has recaptured the Clinton brand. However, to put it more directly, it is possible that is she does not become the nominee–which she still can be–then the nation may be in for more or worse than what we saw the last 8 years. Obama’s role IS NOT that of a new version of a Martin Luther King, Jr., but rather the “evil genius” of the neocons as a bait and switch on the public so that they forget what they’ve been through, and instead of a genuine change (a la FDR) they get fascism.

Where on earth are you getting such bizarre juxtapositions?! Obama and neo-cons?

Hillary and FDR? How about Hillary and Lyndon Johnson or Hillary and Richard Nixon?
You’re not bothered by Hillary’s expediency driven memory and situational ethics?

I missed Hillary’s NYC speech, but heard on a number of blogs how self-serving it was. Imagine my surprise when, upon listening it tonight, what I heard was entirely different. She talked about how great a campaign Obama had run, how grateful she was to be a part of it, about health care expenses, and yet the Obummers insist on fantasizing a subtext of subterfuge, manipulation, and a whole host of subversive attitudes that just simply aren’t present in her speech.

What they don’t seem aware of is how the Obama candidacy was funded by liberal elites who felt that they had a much better chance of controllling Obama than they ever will Hillary. Their inexcusable and blatant misygony towards Clinton will never be forgotten nor forgiven. Older women like me won’t be voting for that sack of XY chromosomes Obummer, nor his equally penis-impaired rival McCain. We just won’t show in November. I and other older women are done with that pantywaist Obama and with the DNC, who sold us out to the highest bidders — the DNC officials liberals who couldn’t stomach the idea of an independent woman and her gifted husband helping us solve unprecendented problems in this country, the Hollywood elite who funded Obummer’s campaign and in exchange, will find him easy to manipulate, and the clueless electorate who believe, all evidence to the contrary, that the empty suit otherwise known as Obama can actually be an effective leader. it is with some regret that me and other older women will be abandonning the Democratic party in record numbers in November.

And so, like a bunch of lemmings being led over the cliff by the likes of George Soros and other members of the liberal elite, they worship Obama and his soaring yet empty rhetoric. The DNC has, once again, basically handed the presidency over to Republican rule.

Have a wonderful summer with your insipid rallies, you clueless morons. You just relinquished the White House to McCain, and you’re too caught up in your spoiled insular lives to even notice.

I think a lot of Obama’s money came from small amounts from young people like me.

Susan: Obama has been funded almost exclusively by small donors contributing less than $100 each. He has systematically refused to accept PAC or Lobbyist money. He is the first candidate to do so, and as a result, he is precisely NOT controlled by ‘special interests’. That is one of the reasons the traditional moneyed interests are so terrified of him.

Your vitriol is unfortunate. If you choose to support McCain, or sit out, you abandon your sisters…you are basically saying that your hurt feelings are more important than the Supreme Court. More important than the prevention of back-street abortions with coat hangars. More important than your OWN right to choose.

The GOAL is not a particular candidate. It’s the Supreme Court.

Keep your priorities straight.
