Despite what many of the pundits, many in the DNC and much of the mainstream media wanted to project to the public, Hillary Clinton never really went away.

Without a doubt Barack Obama is the clear choice of the DNC because he has done for the Democratic party what no other candidate has done in a very, very long time — energize the electorate and bring in new voters. However, Hillary Clinton is not a John Kerry, or a Michael Dukakis in mannerism, who doesn’t fight back when she is down or is being dealt a questionable hand.

I believe that ultimately Obama will be the nominee but by staying in the race, Hillary Clinton will play a major role in shaping the party’s platform.

Hi Pam. Does Hillary winning Texas make a difference?

Hi Catherine — All I can say is that if I worked for either campaign I would be on the phone making sure that the lines of communication stay open and the campaign going forward remains civil. Before either Obama or Clinton can reach across the party aisles to get things done I am waiting to see if they can reach across to each other.

Texas and Ohio are big wins.

Whoever, the nominee is in November he/she is going to need Ohio, Texas, California and Florida along with the traditional Blue states. If Democrats and Independents can outnumber Republicans at the polls in the general election red states can be turned blue.

Since the founding of this great country, every generation of little girls has dreamed of the day a woman would have the chance to be its leader. That day has finally come. Look closely. Hillary Clinton has been an open-hearted teenager, a spiritual person, a fine student, a courageous civil rights volunteer, an accomplished attorney, a dedicated wife, a working mother, a respected Senator, an example to young women and a global force for good. She has done all that our society asks of women who want to be taken seriously–now, as our country faces so many crises, it is time for all of us who have also lived as strong women to celebrate this amazing opportunity to support her as the first woman President.

Hi Pam – I agree, I would love to see Obama and Clinton begin work together, and stop the mudslinging.

Hi Anne – I totally know what you mean. I have a 13 year old daughter, and she is really empowered by Hillary…It’s so important for our girls to know that anything is possible for them.
