Brokaw’s “Novel Idea” Let the Voters Decide

It’s nice to know that the results of New Hampshire (and Catherine put it succinctly in her post lastnight) are going to take the air out of the media’s coronation balloon for either the Democratic or Republican nomination, for at least the next several weeks (though they’re still working very hard to declare Mitt Romney dead–who happens to lead the delegate count right now for Republicans).
It seems like it’s not only voters who are miffed by the media’s coverage. Check out this great exchange lastnight on MSNBC with Tom Brokaw, recounted in the New York Times’ “TV Decoder” blog.

MATTHEWS: We’re going to have to go back and figure out the methodology, I think, on some of these.
BROKAW: You know what I think we’re going to have to go back and do? Wait for the voters to make their judgment.
