You Can Help Make Birth Control Affordable Again.

3 December, 2007 (01:38) | family, family planning, feminism, healthcare, Obama, opinion, politics, women | By: Catherine Morgan

This is a post from Feminist Cupcake.

Women fought to make birth control legal and now because of the 2006 Deficit Reduction Act it has become unaffordable for many women. Since last year the cost of birth control for college sutdents and women of low-income has more than doubled. Rep. Joseph Crowley (D-N.Y.) and Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) have introduced a bill that will fix that provision in the DRA, the bans discounts on birth control and restore the ability of pharmaceutical companies to offer these discounts.

Make a difference. Support this bill by contacting your representitives. It’s easy; click her to write your senator or your representitive.
